Hi folks,

I finally received the first shipment of stickers from Fred. Thanks to Fred we now have 200 stickers which look real nice!

I will be sending out batches of stickers to a member in each city for distribution to other members in the same city.

I would appreciate it if members would volunteer to take up the task of distributing the stickers.

Those willing to do so please post a confirmation along with the name of the city you live in. I will courier the stickers to you and the other members from your city can come over and collect their stickers from you.

This first batch of stickers are meant only for sticking on the inside of car windscreens. Fred has promised another batch which can used for sticking on the exterior of cars and doors etc.

Cheers
Bopanna

Good show Fred and Bops!

Cannot use these because of the tinted glass but will take 2 to 4 - if they can be spared.

An artistic flourish with a black permanent marker should do the trick. That way we can all have bespoke stickers and there can be many an arguement about whose gill is better.

Hi Guys,

Was wondering whether to charge for the stickers or not since Fred hasn't charged us for it. If we charge about Rs 100 then we will have the first bits of collection for the IA fund.

Fred what say you?

Bops

No worries on the cost from my side... It;'s good that we should have a fund, which also can be used in emergencies, say for example if someone needs to be taken to a hospital after a 4km run

Hi Bops,

I think the stickers should be charged and the sale peoceeds be kept as a fund as it would not be a nice idea to ask Fred for the stickers free of cost all the time. Other wise the fund can be utilised in other things related to IA.

Please send 4 stickers for me through Gavin

Regards,
Apoo

Hey Rustam,

How was the weekend at Bheemeshwari? The yanks manage to catch anything?
Do me a favour and pick up a couple of stickers (if you haven't already) and hand them over to Sahadev if possible?
Am travelling the whole of next week.

Thanks,
Mighty M.

They caught a few murral but being pukkah outdoor types, they still enjoyed themselves immensely and WASI now has three more members.

If I meet Bops, I will collect the stickers for you.

HOW ABOUT A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER ????

Just a few pages that would carry the monthly news and the fishing scenes around the globe... Each member to give a small write up on his local news.. Pictures to be included.. Bops and some serious members can be the editors.

Instead of hijacking every bloke's thread (I speak about myself), we can actually read about "fishy" stuff only.. We can also take a print out and show to our non-IAF members. This may also persuade them to join up..

Any takers ???????

Sounds good, Gav. We could initially have the newsletter in PDF format which can be emailed to all our members as well as any that are interested in fishing but not members of IA as yet.

A monthly recap by a member of the fishing in his area for the last month even if it was just one trip should be sufficient.

If the article and pics are sent to me I will prepare the PDF newsletter and have it sent around.

Hey Bops,

I do believe that there are a lot of guys out there who will contribute a great deal to this.. With the season picking up, we can have a load of articles and pics.. We can also mention the highlights of the coming month, (for eg, the great WASI run), we can also add birthdays, anniversaries, etc.. Going forward we can also have sponsors and ads..

Just a thought. Lets see how it appeals to the other IAF members.

Freddie - Wat say ?

Hi Gav / Bops/ Fred,

The idea of starting a newsletter is really great. With a little effort from each member we can start a newsletter. It will be really great.

Hello Bops,
Seeing that the auction is hotting up for the car stickers, may I stick my bib in and request atleast a couple? or six if spare? My address is
13 Penelope st murarrie, Queensland , Australia 4172. I will be pleased to pay postage and any other charges applicable to our 'sinking fund' and enjoy a masala dosa with you guys one day---- ofcourse! only when the fund has grown sufficiently to afford the luxury, Which you take for granted-- the dosa I mean!!
I am enjoying the IA Forum with it's numerous subject matter and supporting articles, not to mention the jibes and darts coming from all quarters!! Also, and most importantly, meeting and exchanging notes with fair dinkum fishos! Keep it up.
Cheers,
Glenn

Hey Freddie, thanks a ton mate...

Bops - We all can send u articles by a deadline and u can collate the same and send it to Freddie.. Freddie can get his honchos on designing the layout and post the stuff back on the IAF for us to take print outs..

Freddie - You don't have to send us the hard copies of the brochures but instead let the lazy bums here, actually take print outs of the newsletter..

What Say ???

Open to new ideas (always  )
