Yummy!

That's a Pabda, my fav fish.

Bobby, Rajat has some very nice recipes for this one, if you are looking.

The reason for my asking was that just the other day I bought some catfish that they call buttercatfish in Thailand, I made a Thai Green Curry with the buggers....super tasty.

I was wondering if they were the same fish, that is why I wanted to know. The ones I got were different, will post a picture of these critters next time.

Pabda takes well on a small spinner... loads of fun if you find the school... ideal is a no. 2 mepps... plenty to be had in the ganga, but unfortunately have vanished from elsewhere in the north. The western ganga canal also used to be a good place, but the only thing you'll hook there these days is a body floating by!!!

Pabda sure will attract excess salivation from bong tongues..........Best is "Sorshe Pabda".
Caught them in large numbers from the river ganges with very small hooks topped with very thin earthworms.

They are omnipresent in our waters but in small sizes......

Regards,
Saiki
