It's the season of love. It's the season giving and taking. And for all of you wondering how. Well the answer is - Love will find a way.

A note for the conservationist. No animal or person or Owen was hurt. In fact if you look at the smiles across the two 'loving' partners you will see what I mean. Unfortunately at the moment of writing this there is no news if this wonderful moment will change the future of this endangered specie. Also there is no news if the turtle is pregnant or not.

As of the moment entry was gained Owen officially became 'TurtleBosen".

another wonderful moment

And while all this was happening a few fish were also caught.

Hi Turtlebosen!
Fine fish it is.
Oh so this is the season of love. No wonder so many elephants, crocks, wild dogs came by to say hi.

Hi Yaj!
This golden is a barbus tor mussallah of the kaveri.

The other species of mahseer in the kaveri are the barbus tor kudhree or the deccan mahseer / blue fin!

The Golden from the north are barbus tor putitora !

Cheers
Owen

Hi Owen,

Do you get Mahseer hybrids? Are they common?

And I am not reffering to what you did with the turtle

Today, scientists in South India believe that they may have discovered a new species of turtle in the River Cauvery. This species, or sub species
is very much like a normal turtle but has a human like head.
A photo of one of them was taken by two Bangalore anglers, Riaz and the other angler only wished to be known as Mamba for personal reasons.
It took a while before the duo were in a fit state to talk about their trauma.

Riaz, the more experienced in wildlife had this to say. "It was like something out of a science fiction movie, it stared at us with these light coloured eyes, it was horrible. At times I thought it was smiling as though it knew us. Ugggg, we have had nightmares for the last few days. Come to think of it, the face reminded us of someone we know
but we could not quite put a finger on it." Throughout this report, Mamba kept silent. Too frightened to speak. Both anglers are still on heavy sedation and will attend counciling next week.

Latest reports reveal that an angler living near the Bishop Cotton Boy's School, wishes it to be understood that he was in no way responsible for what may have happened. He said that too much Old Monk, fishing and lack of human company on the river bank had a lot to do with unbalancing his sense of judgement. He was heard to mumble, "sometimes even a turtle can look like a beautiful model" or something to that effect. His companion of many years who accompanied him on his numerous fishing trips, a ghilly wearing a new cap and J.L. uniform, shook his head in disbelief and refused to comment.

Another angler known to many in the Delhi area tells me that the I.S.P.C.D.A. (Indian Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Dumb Animals)
are offering a reward of Rs.1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this inhuman act.

A photo of this unfortunate creature will appear on this thread at a later date after censorship.

SCOOP!

An angler (who still is in a state of shock) has sent this in. At first I did not believe it but then who can refute this kind of evidence. Henry called this a 'normal' turtle with a human head. I think there is nothing normal about it.

Take a look!
