To all those interested in trout fishing, this is to let all know that now the DFO of North Range forests has allowed trout fishing in the Avalanche river and lake only after getting licences from the fisheries department from Ooty only.

Thanks for the update, Michael. It is good news indeed, at last a reason to visit the Nilgiri's again :-)

Yup, it is good news. I'm hoping I'll be able to head to the Nilgiris soon. The fishing there should be quite good this time of year.

Mighty Marlin.

Yup Bops,

Long time ago that was. Remember we caught some small mirror carp on that trip. Would love to head back and give it a go, but alas I just don't have the time.

Let me know how you do if you ever head there in the future.

Regards,

Mighty Marlin.

Yes I remember the mirror carp. It was the first I ever saw, really beautiful.

The locals were catching them on atta flavoured with Haldi or was it saffron....
