For the benefit of new members and those who did not know about this already. There is an option on the forum index page called "View posts since last visit" this allows you to see only new posts which have been made since your last visit to the forum. There is a number in brackets which indicates the number of new posts that were made since your last visit. Circled in red in the image

To go through only the latest posts please click on the "View posts since last visit" link.

Reading the rules long after joining, never noticed this before and kept viewing old posts.
