Had a 22lber last week, my biggest yet. Jim had a 17.5lb on plug and I lost a fish we estimated at 40lb.
Loads of mahseer in the 4oz to 1lb bracket looks good for the future, but I'm still concerned about how many of those were bluefins.

I'll be back after them in two weeks, heading for a tour of TN now.

Hi Steve,
Thought we would see you at the WASI get together last night. The guys had a blast.
Well done on the 10 Kg mahseer, and yes those blue fin are turning up everywhere in the south.
We need to talk about this.
Regards
Owen

Hi Owen,
One of my party was ill in Mysore, so we decided to stay put.
Hope to get the chance to meet everybody in Bangalore later in April.

Will keep working with Mark on mahseer species. Myself, Rich and Jim caught loads of little ones, and I've been taking scale and fin details from them all to catalogue.

Talking to a mahseer expert in Mangalore when Mark arrives, so hopefully we can really start to classify the fish.

A great few days Steve. Thanks. Also a big thanks to Bops for the travel and company, and introductions.

I'm sure we would have caught more and bigger given more time. Always the way on a new water it takes a good few days to come to grips with what you can and can't try. Often the norm doesn't make for the catching... Any comments????

Steve, i'm putting together that work/research this week and should have it for you by the end of the week. Also, have the 'vibe' on a few tweaks on innovations that may work. If you stuck for anything while in India mate just give me a shout and i'll send. I.E a version of the 'spoon' rich used when he lost the one by rocks...
