Hi Guys,

Firstly I must wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful year ahead with many hook ups and great action . I am sorry I have not responded to some of your mails since I was traveling a bit and don’t seem to get any time to cool my heels. One such short stint bought me to Bangalore and Galibore on the Cauvery.
Me and my two boys had booked Galibore for Two days 25th & 26th. Sadly I had to get back to Abu Dhabi in a flash and got hardly two sessions of fishing at Galibore . The eve of 25th and Morning of 26th.

This was my first trip to cauvery and the very first time I ever saw a Raggi Ball !! ( Scared the pants off me !!). I did catch couple of small Masheers and my son caught a Murrel about 4 Kg a lovely fish which jumped off his hands into the river while I was trying to take a picture of him holding it.
On the 26th morning while we were on the river a foreigner ( English ??) landed a Massive 85 Lb Masheer just below the crocodile rock. We witnessed the whole fight.
This guy told me that He had fished two days without any fish and was beginning to loose faith.
Will be visiting again next season for sure. And Bops sorry I couldn’t meet any of you guys due to lack of Time.

Hooked at Galibore

Did you take a picture of the 85 lbs Mahseer which was landed??

Being in Bangalore I keep a track of the big fish landed in the Cauvery but did not know of this. Will call Sundar tomorrow to wish him for New Year but more importantly to check on the BIG ONE.

Lets meet the next time you are in Bangalore.
