A friend of mine and me are planning to go fishing at any of the locations i.e. Doddamakli, Bheemashwari or Galibore next week, does anyone have any idea on the fish biting in the area, planning to use both Bait and Spinners on the river stretch. Im not sure which place to go.

Does anyone have any tips on which place to choose??

Hi Derek,

My tip would be don't go. Its still too early in the year and the water levels will be really high. High water is alright if you know what to do with it, but if the water's coloured there really is very little, besides bait/worm fishing for catfish. Give it till the 15th of Oct and then go out, might make all the difference.
My favourite camp is Galibori followed by Doddamakali.

Regards,
Mighty Marlin.

Derek...what MM says is right...its been raining upstream and I dont think the water will be favourable for fishing. The streatches of the cauvery near Mysore would not be a bad idea....but with the Dasara on you will have masses everywhere....You probably shoud try and head out to the lakes on Kanakapura road ....check with the locals before you start fishing, the lakes may be on contract...

Derek.. As Belli mentioned, try the stretches of the Cauvery around Mysore - probably between Mysore Road - Kanakapura Road. Was around the area a month ago, water was high but not muddy.

Cheers,
Alexis

Hi Alexis,

I'm surprised at how clear it is. By the pic I'm guess its around Balamuri, up stream of where we go normally. Thanks for the pic.

Mighty Marlin.
